Our view of the service

We carried out this comprehensive assessment between 13 and 27 June 2025. This was the first assessment for this newly registered service. Parry Healthcare Limited is a domiciliary care service providing personal care to people living in their own homes. At the time of our assessment, the service was providing personal care to 21 people.

We announced the site visit to the provider 48 hours beforehand; this was because we needed to be sure the provider would be available to support this inspection. The registered manager was not available at the time we planned to visit due to personal and other work matters so our visit took place 4 days after we announced it.

We spoke with people who use the service, their relatives, staff, and the registered manager. We received feedback from professionals involved in the service. We reviewed people’s care records, staff records and records relating to the management of the service.

The provider failed to have effective systems in place to assess and monitor the quality of the service provided to people. There were shortfalls in the service that had not been identified before our visit. The electronic call monitoring system was not used effectively to ensure people received safe and effective care.

The systems for managing and administering people’s medicines were not safe and effective. The provider did not always ensure they used incidents, and complaints to improve the service.

People’s care plans detailed their needs and provided information to staff on how to support them. Staff knew the people they supported and treated them with kindness and care. Staff told us they felt supported by the provider.

The provider was in breach of 2 legal regulations: good governance, and safe care and treatment. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.
