Date of Assessment: 28 April 2026. Spirit House is an independent health service located in Leicestershire.Spirit House registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in February 2023. They have no previous rating as this is their first assessment since registration. We carried out an announced comprehensive assessment reviewing all quality statements for safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. This service is registered with CQC under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 in respect of some, but not all the services they provide. The in scope regulated activities include a private weight management programme and pulmonary rehabilitation services. The private weight management service is England wide, and the pulmonary rehabilitation service is commissioned by South and East Staffordshire. These programmes included remote monitoring and education sessions. Therefore, only these services were inspected and reported on. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. Where relevant, further commentary is provided in the quality statements section of this report. We assessed all five key questions to establish if the services provided are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
Spirit House encouraged and used feedback from people who used the service to drive improvements. We invited patients to provide us with their feedback about the service through our ‘Give Feedback on Care’ process. We received 12 positive feedback responses regarding people’s satisfaction with their care and treatment. People felt they were involved in making decisions about their care and treatment and had positive health outcomes. People were confident about the staff’s skills, training and experience.
