Date of Assessment: 5 June 2026 to 17 June 2026. The service is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to children and adults of all ages including those who live with physical disabilities and dementia. This is the first assessment for this newly registered service. Risks to people were assessed and planned for. Staff understood how to safeguard people from abuse. Staff had received training and call time monitoring was in place. Medicines were administered as prescribed and staff understood how to protect people from the risk of cross infection. Assessments and care plans were in place, and health needs were considered. Reviews were undertaken and updates to care plans were completed regularly. Staff understood how to seek consent and guidance was in place for staff on how to meet people’s health needs. A complaints system was in place and the provider considered equality and diversity for people and staff. There were governance systems in place which helped ensure people received the care they needed. However, some improvements were needed to ensure; peoples’ environmental risks were consistently considered, the recruitment policy was consistently followed and feedback from people and the actions taken were documented.
