All Inspections

During a routine inspection

During our visit to the network we spoke with two tenants who live there. They said they are treated well and with respect and they are involved in making decisions about the care they receive and what they do. For example, they choose the activities they want to do, agree menus for the week and agreed with the other tenants what type of pet to get for the network. They said they are happy living at the network and talked about the things they enjoyed doing during the week. These included horse riding, gardening, visiting the local day centre, going to the pub, playing on computer games and socialising with other tenants. They also said there are enough staff to meet their needs and they get on well with staff who are caring and supportive.

We also saw letters written by two parents which gave very positive feedback about the network. One parent highlighted the caring atmosphere and how they could see their daughter was settled as she did not stop smiling and laughing. They said that 'seeing her so happy means so much to us'. The other parents spoke highly of the quality of staff and how well they understand their son's needs and that he is looked after the way they would look after him at home.

Prior to our visit we also spoke with two healthcare professionals who visit the network to provide care and support. They said they see staff at the network treat tenants with respect and they always appear happy, the network manager and staff co-ordinate well with them and staff are competent and professional.
