Staff described feeling supported, valued and listened to by the management team. One staff member said, “Brilliant, my shift patterns are absolutely great, we do often get our weekends off, we all have breaks, [the registered manager] in the hot weather was saying get a drink or take a break.” Another staff member told us, “I just really like the place, I’ve been in care for 20 years and they are very understanding, very supportive. It’s a lovely place to work.”

Staff also described a strong sense of teamwork and pride in the improvements made. One member of staff said, “I’ve worked in various care homes, this is by far the most relaxed, where you get time to sit with the residents, it is lovely you are just one big family.” These comments supported our findings that staff wellbeing had been prioritised and staff felt able to work in a supportive and positive environment.
