During a routine inspection

During 2013 GP Care had continued to look at the needs of the wider community and innovative ways to improve services for people. They have expanded their services so that people could have access to new care and treatment services within their local community.

The annual report for 2013 detailed GP Care values and stated 'The key to our success is the design and delivery of high quality clinical services in a manner that significantly improves the patient experience'.

We looked at survey results for 2013 across all the services that they provided. Comments included 'Excellent service and information', 'Superb service and attitude to care', 'This is my second time using the service and it never fails to impress me' and 'The care was excellent and I was made to feel comfortable'.

GP Care recognised the importance of investing in their staff. They stated 'Our staff are our most valuable asset and we work hard to get the right people in the right jobs. We are proud of our commitment to the people who work for us and provide opportunities, reward, training and development'.

They received positive feedback from their patients with regards to staff and the care they delivered. Comments included 'The sonographer was very nice, professional and friendly. Just the type of person I would like to see', 'All the staff were very enthusiastic, compassionate and encouraging' and 'The ladies were fabulous. I was very nervous but they understood and reassured me'.

During a routine inspection

The survey results on the feedback from patients who used GP Care for the year 2012 were positive. GP Care received responses from 898 patients who had used the urology services and 79% rated their experience as excellent, 19% as very good and 2% as good. Comments received included, "Good all round professional performance", First class all round. Informative, helpful and very professional" and "Excellent, efficient and well run with plenty of time allowed for questions".

It was evident that all the staff we met with were' proud' to work for GP Care and the services they provided to patients. We were welcomed by all members of staff at the head office when we visited. Everyone was happy to share their experiences in their individual roles and how they supported patients who used the service. Staff clearly supported GP Care and their commitment to the 'delivery of high quality clinical services in a manner that significantly improved the patient experience'.

They were constantly looking at the wider community and innovative ways to improve services for people and initiate and expand so that people could have access to new care and treatment services within their local community.

During a routine inspection

People that used GP Care UK were pleased with services that were provided and the care they received from all staff.

Staff said they were supported and supervised by GP Care and that they were proud to be part of the services provided.
