During an inspection looking at part of the service

People told us they were happy with the care provided at the home. They told us that the care staff were kind and helpful and the atmosphere was very relaxed. People also told us they were happy with the food provided.

During a routine inspection

People told us they were able to make choices about times of rising and retiring and that they were able to see their GP when they wanted.

People told us that the care staff were aware of when they are ill and they were consulted about their care.

Not everyone was happy with the meals provided. Some people thought the meals were very good but some thought they could be better.

People told us that they knew who to speak to if they had any concerns and that they liked the home, they said 'it is home like we know it, it's nice and comfortable'.

People liked the staff and described them as, 'very nice', 'lovely lasses', 'they are very kind, caring and helpful'.
