During a routine inspection
Each person's needs were assessed and their care plans outlined how to meet their individual needs. People were encouraged to develop the skills they needed to live independent lives. One person who used the service told us, 'Cascade likes us to get involved in things and try to train you up to be independent. They like you to get into a routine and be able to do your own things.'
Medicines were handled appropriately and staff followed the organisation's medication policy and procedures. There were enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff to meet people's needs. People were cared for by staff who were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard. Staff said they received the training they needed that enabled them to carry out their roles effectively.
