During a routine inspection

People who used the service were able to express their views and gave their consent to the care and support they received.

The service assessed and met people's needs and provided person-centred care that reflected individual plans.

People who used the service were able to pursue activities of interest to them. They were encouraged to develop their social skills and to lead independent lives associated with their interests.

Staff worked together with other professionals to meet the health and social needs of people. There were enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff to meet people's needs. The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive.

During a routine inspection

There were three people who lived in the home. We spoke with one person who used the service as two of the people chose not to speak to us. The person said staff respected them and they were nice. They said they felt safe in the home and that staff acted promptly to deal with any concerns they had. They told us they had choices in what they wanted to go and where they wished to go. They said they were independent in many areas but staff knew how to support them when needed.

During a routine inspection

The people we spoke to about the service were generally positive about the home and the staff. People felt it was the right place for their needs and everyone we spoke to said they felt safe. When asked about the staff, people said they could talk to the staff and the manager in particular was helpful. People felt involved in decisions about their care. People felt the home was supporting them to achieve what they wanted, for example being able to go out and about in the community with confidence. One person wanted to go out more often with a member of staff and had recently raised this with the manager.
