During a routine inspection

The six people we spoke with were very positive about the care and support provided by Enfield Enablement Team. Typical comments were 'very good', they explain things clearly' and 'my worker shows me respect." People spoke very positively about the care and support they received from the service. One person's comments were typical they told us that 'the staff give me the support I ask for.'

People told us that they understood how to raise concerns with the service. One person said, "I know who to contact if I am unhappy about my care." People said they felt staff understood the needs of the people they supported. The service's training matrix showed that staff had been trained in mandatory areas, such as manual handling, administration of medication and food hygiene. The six staff we spoke with confirmed that they had undertaken this training in the last year.

People who use the service confirmed that regular checks were carried out by the agency to make sure that they received the quality of care they expected. They were happy with the service and confirmed they felt consulted. There were systems in place to assess and monitor the quality of the service provided. Audit were undertaken by the provider.

People spoken with were very positive about the care and support provided by the Enablement Team. They confirmed that their needs were understood and that they were treated with respect. A person told us, "the staff were always friendly and did everything asked of them.' People told us they felt the service was safe.

People said that staff understood the needs of the people they supported. This included how to support an individual who needed to be hoisted. A person said, 'staff know how help me.' People were happy with the service and they confirmed they were consulted. They were asked for their views on how the service was run, and their views were acted upon.
