During an assessment under our new approach
Endorphins Group is a domiciliary care service providing personal care to people in their own homes. At the time of our assessment, there were 4 people receiving personal care. The assessment started on 15 June 2026 and concluded on 2 July 2026. This was the first assessment of this newly registered service.
We assessed the provider against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. Our review of this service confirmed staff were caring, and supported people with learning disabilities to be involved in their care and treatment.
At the time of the inspection, the provider was providing personal care support to children. However, the provider was registered to support both children and adults and had systems and processes in place to meet the needs of people across both age groups.
Care planning was person-centred and reflected individual needs, including support to develop new skills such as trying new foods and maintaining routines for personal care. Individual risk assessments reflected people’s specific needs, including support with personal care delivered in a consistent and person-centred manner.
Staff worked closely with families to ensure care was delivered safely and in line with agreed preferences. The provider supported people who may display challenging behaviours. Where individuals challenged boundaries or became unsettled, staff responded calmly, used de-escalation techniques and maintained clear communication with families and colleagues to ensure consistent and safe support.
The provider had systems in place to respond to people’s needs and changing circumstances, including incident reporting, safeguarding processes, and regular quality assurance visits.
We found the provider had effective systems in place to monitor quality, manage risk, and safeguard people. Leaders demonstrated a clear commitment to continuous improvement and responded appropriately when issues were identified. However, leaders did not always maintain consistent record keeping for example with team meeting minutes and supervision records.
