During a routine inspection

We found that the location 19 St. Johns Street Children's Immunisation Centre had not been used to carry out the regulated activities surgical procedure or diagnostic or screening procedures between January 2012 and the day of the compliance visit.

We were told by the registered provider that the organisation did not intend to use the location further. The provider informed us that the required Care Quality Commission (CQC) application forms would be completed to remove the location from the CQC register.

Although the provider said it was no longer operating from 19 St. Johns Street, it remained registered with the Care Quality Commission and therefore able to carryout the registered regulated activities. In light of this the service still needed to be inspected so we could be satisfied it was compliant with the Health and Social Act 2008.
