During an inspection in response to concerns

People told us that they felt staff tried to meet their needs but also that there were not enough staff to ensure they were attended to promptly. They also said that they felt safe when being transferred using a hoist but sometimes needed to tell staff how they liked it done.

Overall, people using the service said that they were happy living in Portland House and that, in the main, their needs were met.
