We spoke with four people who used the service, the manager and three staff. We also contacted health professionals who had recently visited the service for their feedback. People told us they were happy with the care and support provided. One person said, 'It's homely and the food and staff are nice'. People knew about their care plans or said staff had talked through the support they needed. People's care plans had been reviewed and produced in a new more informative format. People told us that when they were unwell they either go to the doctor, or staff arranged an appointment or visit.
One person although happy with the care provided had some issues about their laundry and their room and with their consent these were passed to the manager who agreed to investigate them.
People told us that the staff were 'very good'. They all agreed that when they needed help staff were on hand. One person said, 'They give me a shower twice a week and that's what I want'. 'They are very nice and treat us all nice'. Staff had recently undertaken training to enhance their skills and further training was booked. To ensure staff delivered care and support consistently staff were receiving regular team meetings and supervisions and most had received an appraisal.
