During a routine inspection

We found that the provider was providing a service which had respected the privacy and dignity of people who used their service. Assessment and reviews conducted by the agency had consulted with people who use the service and recorded how they wished to be supported. People told us that: "staff are excellent" and how' staff listen and understand how I

wish to be supported".

Regular monitoring by senior staff had ensured that staff followed support plans and respected the wishes of people using the service. People told us they had: "discussed their needs with the manager and carers". The were sufficient skilled and experienced staff to safely meet the needs of people who use the service, and to enable the agency to accept new referrals. The standard of induction and subsequent training for staff was of a good standard. The standard of quality assurance monitoring of the service provided, to safeguard the people using the service was good.

In summary this inspection found that the Radis Care was providing a good standard of care and support to the people using their services.

During a routine inspection

In talking with people who receive a service from Radis Community Care we were provided with a number of comments which indicate the quality of care. Individuals told us "they make you feel there is someone there for you", (this was a carer) "quite satisfied with the care I receive", "really satisfied with the care", "nothing could be improved for me its all very good...wonderful care".

We were also told about the care workers and how they approach their work and relationships with individuals: "they make you feel you are not just another client", "very pleased with the care worker....friendly..treat you with respect", "very obliging and helpful", "friendly and kind".

We were able to look at some of the letters received by the agency which commented on the service individuals had received:

"very impressed with both the quality of the care and the respect and kindness shown" (from a relative)

"cares for the carer" (From an individual about their care worker)

"not only did my relative receive the best possible care professionally, but the ladies brought with them a genuine sense of humour, rapport and friendliness that hid the fact that they did a difficult job. More importantly they always made sure ..... maintained their dignity" (From a relative)
