Our view of the service

Date of assessment 16 June 2026. Pronsahe Health Care is a homecare service providing support to people living in their own homes. At the time of the assessment, there were 3 people who were in receipt of the regulated activity of personal care. This was the first inspection for this service.

The provider was in breach of legal regulation in relation to governance. The provider did not have robust systems of governance and quality monitoring in place. There were not effective systems in place to ensure that audits were carried out and policies and procedures were kept updated.

However, since the inspection the registered manager had been proactive in updating policies, procedures and driving better compliance.

Recruitment processes were in place, however we found some gaps in people's recruitment files. Following the inspection the registered manager was proactive in improving the recruitment process to ensure safe and effective staffing. There was an agency in place to cover staff sickness ensuring people were able to get the care and support they need despite any potential staffing issues.

The 3 people who at the time were receiving a regulated activity were having end of life care in their own home. The staff worked in collaboration with the hospice team and community nurses to ensure people’s end of life care and health needs were met, while respecting their preferences and wishes. Staff knew people well and understood what was important to them. This enabled staff to provide person centred care. People’s health needs were monitored and any concerns or signs of deterioration in people’s health were promptly escalated to the GP and community nursing team. Relatives were kept updated. Staff had received appropriate training to carry out their roles effectively. Staff knew how to keep people safe and understood how to manage risks.

People's experience of this service

Due to the type of care people were receiving we were not able to gather feedback from them directly, however we received feedback from their relatives. Relatives told us how the staff monitored people’s health needs to ensure they were pain free and comfortable.

A relative said, "The agency are very good. The [registered manager] lets me know what happens with any pain. They worked with the hospice to change their pain medication."

Relatives told us how there were effective means of communication and they were always kept informed of any changes in their loved one’s care needs or call times.

One relative said, "I don’t think anything has ever gone wrong. If they are running late, they always ring me and I let [relative] know they are on their way. They have been brilliant."

Relatives spoke positively about the staff and their compassion and kindness.

A relative said, “Staff have been very good at monitoring signs, they are always subtle and kind, as [relative] is not getting any better.”

While people expressed general satisfaction with their care, our assessment found elements of care did not meet the expected standards.
