Our view of the service
Date of inspection 20 August 2025. Angelic Care is a care at home service providing personal care and support to adults of all ages, some of whom were living with dementia and physical disabilities. Not everyone using the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. This was the first assessment of the service, and we reviewed all key questions and quality statements. At the time of the assessment there was a manager in post who was registered with CQC. During the inspection we identified areas of risk associated with infection control practices and management oversight. Systems and processes were in place to monitor the quality of the service. However, where concerns had been identified, actions were not always taken to identify the root cause and prevent recurrence. The registered manager and the nominated individual were receptive to feedback and took action to address the issues during the assessment.
People's experience of this service
People told us they felt safe with care staff and the way they were supported. The reliability and friendliness of staff was valued enabling the development of trusting relationships. Carers were kind, caring and compassionate, communicating well and checking whether there was anything else the person needed. One person said that they [staff] were "an absolute life saver!". People felt confident they could raise concerns, which would be listened to and addressed. The registered manager was approachable and supportive of people and staff, helping to provide care and making sure people were happy with the service.
