We did not speak directly with patients as our inspection time was arranged to ensure access to clinical areas and speak with staff who would be otherwise busy. The most recent patient survey and comments and cards suggested a high degree of patient satisfaction. People commented favourably on the professionalism, courtesy and attitude of staff, felt that procedures and possible outcomes had been fully explained, expectations managed appropriately and the environment to be clean and tidy.

Our findings included appropriate consent procedures, evidence of assessments leading to optimum courses of treatment and safeguards in place to ensure staff recruitment was fit for purpose. The environment was seen to be clean and tidy, with procedures in place to minimise the risk of infection.

We were unable to speak with people who used the service. The service operated a patient survey and this indicated high degrees of satisfaction with the service.
