During a routine inspection
One relative told us; 'I'm absolutely bowled over by the care and the compassion of the staff, I can't believe how much my sister has flourished at Bramley Avenue and they always approach her as an individual.' Another relative told us, 'My brother has been very ill on occasions and staff have been there for him in a wonderful way. They always sit with him when he goes to hospital and communicate with medical staff so well on his behalf. I think he is extremely well looked after and I'm so pleased he was chosen for Bramley.'
We also received many positive comments from people's care managers including, 'It's one of the best services and staff work so hard to involve people in making decisions and maximising their choices. I'm always really impressed'. Another care manager stated, 'It's a flag ship home, the staff team do an excellent job and they work closely with us if there are any problems. Staff are incredibly innovative in the places they take people and how they involve them in the local community'. The care managers we spoke with told us they found the manager very capable and one GP stated, 'The manager runs it well, there's good leadership and a stable staff group'.
A visiting aromatherapist masseur told us, 'I think the service is excellent and staff are great. They are always so helpful and get everyone fully ready for their massage in good time, meaning people get the full 45 minutes and my time isn't wasted'.
