During a routine inspection

When we inspected this service one young person was staying at the home.

During our inspection we looked at care records and the homes duty rota. We did this to confirm the young man was well supported and staffing levels were sufficient to meet his needs. We also spoke with the young man staying at the home, his mother, a staff member and the manager. The young man said he was well supported and got on well with the staff. His mother told us she was very happy with his care. She said she was always consulted about the service provided and was involved in decision making around his care. Comments received from young man and his mother included:

'I am very happy here. The staff are great with me. They are friendly and supportive. I have no complaints about anything'.

'My son is provided with a very consistent care theme. He is a lot calmer since he moved into the home which is down to the support given. He has a stable staff team supporting him'.

'My son is well cared for and the home is well run. The staff encourage him to develop his independence skills'.
