During a routine inspection

People who were able to speak with us said they were treated with kindness and respect by the staff and were involved in the way their care was organised. Carers spoke of their satisfaction with the services offered and confirmed their involvement in deciding if the home could meet their relative's needs. They told us that prior to admission an assessment was undertaken and then further assessments were undertaken to ensure the home knew about the things that were important to them, such as their religious, social and cultural needs. They said they were asked how they wanted to be cared for and the day to day activities they liked to join in with and how the home could help them maintain relationships with their families and friends. Carers said that staff were good at keeping in regular contact with them and they felt well informed. People using the service who were able to communicate with us said they felt safe and secure in the home.Carers also spoke of some fairly recent and significant improvements in the service, which they credited to the current management team.
