During an inspection looking at part of the service

When we visited in April 2013 we found there were issues regarding the lack of arrangements in place with regard to obtaining consent from people using the service and carrying out assessments of people's mental capacity. Also there were concerns regarding the information held within staff files and the way records were managed in relation to this.

We returned to the home on this inspection to find out whether improvements had been made.

5 April 2013

During an inspection looking at part of the service

We spoke with one person who lived at the home and they told us they were happy living there. They told us that the food was nice and that the staff are friendly. We saw that there was a range of activities on offer for people who live at the home. This includes a gardening project within the grounds of the home. We saw that people were given choice with regard to how they spend their day.

9 August 2012

During a routine inspection

We spoke with two people who use the service and they told us that they got on well with the staff and they were cared for them well. They were comfortable living at the home and they had been involved in choosing the d'cor of their own rooms. The food was good and they had choices on what to eat.
