During a themed inspection looking at Domiciliary Care Services
We used telephone interviews and home visits to people who used the service and to their main carers (a relative or friends).
We visited five people in their homes. They told us that they were very happy with the care and support they received. Everybody told us that staff were very caring and knew how to look after them; everybody we visited said they met their regular care worker and were usually informed if the visit might be later than expected. One person told us, 'The traffic is notorious round here so we do not worry too much so long as they arrive'.
One person told us when talking about staff 'They are always so polite, they do things the way I ask and they really understand how to make you feel comfortable'.
One person told us over the telephone, they were very pleased that the same person came every week unless they were on holiday; they confirmed that they were informed in advance if changes were made to their regular care worker.
Everybody spoken to said they felt they could raise concerns with the agency and knew who to talk to.
