During a routine inspection

People told us that they liked living at the home and that the service met their care needs. We were told that the staff are kind and caring and that there was a good relationship with the staff.

People said that they had no concerns about the staffing levels at the home. People told us that they were very comfortable and that they were warm and safe.

Comments included the following: 'I am very well looked after', 'The staff are very understanding', and, 'I have no complaints'.

People said that the food provided was plentiful and good and that the home was always warm and comfortable. People said that they had no complaints about the service and that if they did they would speak to the staff.

The provider told us that currently there are only 5 people living at the home. Staff, social services and relatives have been informed that the provider intends to retire and close the home by the end of January 2012. The provider is supporting people and their families to find suitable alternative accommodation.
