A wide range of care and support was provided to ensure that peoples' needs were being met. There was evidence of people's agreement and involvement in the planning of their care and support.
The agency had an efficient recruitment procedure in place so that only staff who were suitable to work with vulnerable people were employed.
The agency had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of the service that was provided to people. However, the service may find it useful to extend surveys to relatives and healthcare professionals who are in regular contact with the service.
Recording in some documents needs to be improved so that care planning documentation was up to date, accurate and consistent to ensure that people received appropriate care.
People felt that they were informed of any changes that the service was making and could raise any concerns or issues with the service's management at any time.
They told us there had been a change of manager resulting in a better relationship with office staff. People said their care plans and risk assessments had been updated and they had been involved in the process.
People told us they knew how to make a complaint but it had never been necessary.
