All Inspections

25 April 2013

During a routine inspection

We spoke with three people who used the service. People told us they were happy with the service they received. Comments

included, "They've been very helpful"."They're doing a great job in looking after me". "They're very kind and help me to be as independent as possible".

People who used the service had initial assessments and care plans in place. The provider had systems in place to assess and monitor the quality of the service provided. We saw that care and support requirements were agreed with people and consent was obtained before any care or support was provided. People were supported by staff who had been assessed as fit, appropriately qualified and able to do their job.

During a routine inspection

People using the service and their carers told us that their care and welfare needs

were being appropriately met by the south reablement service. They told us that staff respected them and that their privacy and dignity was respected. They also confirmed that an assessment of their needs had been carried out by a senior member of staff before the service started. Comments included 'They are really helping me maintain some independence', 'I don't know what I'd do without them'. 'The service is so important to me and they deliver all I need', 'I know I can talk to my carer about my care needs'.
