During an assessment under our new approach
Date of assessment; 20 and 21 May 2026.
Beacon Home Care Services Limited is a domiciliary home care agency registered to provide personal care for people living in their own homes.
At the time of our assessment 35 people received the regulated activity of personal care.
We assessed the quality statements from all key questions; safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led.
People were receiving safe, person-centred care from a staff team who understood their responsibilities and knew people well.
Staff understood their safeguarding responsibilities and were confident concerns would be responded to appropriately. Risks to individuals and within their home environments were generally well assessed and managed.
The provider showed a commitment to continuous learning and improvement and took prompt action during and following the inspection to review and strengthen these areas.
There was a positive and open culture within the service. Systems for governance and oversight were in place, and the management team maintained this through monitoring, audits and regular contact with people and staff. Some audits needed to be further formalised and there needed to be improvements to ensure more consistent recording.
Medicines were managed safely, although improvements were identified, which would strengthen the recording and clarity of audit processes.
The provider showed a commitment to continuous learning and improvement and took prompt action during and following the inspection to review and strengthen these areas.
