During an assessment under our new approach
We carried out this announced, on-site inspection on 13 June 2025.
We found the practice had met all regulations.
Infection control procedures in place were effective.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.
Angle House Orthodontics Edgware is part of Angle House a dental group provider. The practice is in Edgware, in the London Borough of Barnet and provides NHS and private orthodontic treatment to children and adults.
There was step-free access to the practice via a lift and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.
The practice had 8 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 13 staff, of which there were 9 orthodontists, 2 orthodontic therapists, 6 dental nurses, 3 receptionists and 2 practice managers. The practice is supported by a compliance manager and an administration team.
We spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 orthodontist, 2 dental nurses, both practice managers and the compliance manager.
Staff feedback forms were shared with the team ahead of the inspection, giving staff an opportunity to confidentially share their views about the practice. Staff responses were considered as part of the inspection.
