Requires improvement

15 January 2026

We looked for evidence that the service met people’s needs, and that staff treated people equally and without discrimination.

At our last assessment, we rated this key question as requires improvement. This rating remains in place and all scores remain the same. This inspection was to follow up on the enforcement warning notice and only considered those items stated in the notice. Therefore only the quality statement ‘listening to and involving people’ was relevant to the content of the warning notice.

This service scored 50 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.

Listening to and involving people

Score: 1

Since the previous inspection the practice had implemented a new system of managing and overseeing complaints. The system was designed to ensure all relevant events from which improvements and learning could be derived was captured, recorded and investigated and that any actions and tasks could be monitored. We saw evidence that this was being done for new complaints and that it was working effectively.

The practice showed evidence that a recent complaint had been discussed during a practice meeting and that minutes of that meeting had been shared with staff. The practice had plans for complaints to be discussed at whole team meetings during protected learning time to ensure all staff were aware of and learn from such complaints.

The practice had made progress in improving their listening and involving people and this would require embedding in the coming months to ensure it continued to work effectively.
