We saw evidence that people who use the service were given a choice of activities to participate in and encouraged, where appropriate, to attend college or work which maintained independence and enabled a good quality of life.

Staff we spoke with were able to give good examples of how people were treated with dignity and respect. All the people we spoke with (or their representative where they were unable to communicate themselves) who use the service, knew how and who to raise any concerns with.

In the care plans we reviewed, we saw evidence of multi-disciplinary and best interest meetings, also staff spoke about the service with pride and there was a clear sense of teamwork.

We saw evidence in the quality check files of any issues discussed and resolved; trips to theatres and holidays, with support from the support workers organised and peoples risk assessments reviewed.
