The service mostly had effective governance processes to support the delivery of safe care and treatment. This meant there were some shortfalls in governance systems and leaders did not have oversight of all processes. This had improved following our inspection of adult surgery in February 2025.

Leaders were visible and supportive. Staff felt supported to give feedback and were treated equally. Staff understood their roles and responsibilities.
