The service provides personal care to younger and older people.

We have rated the service as good.

People received good care and support. People and their relatives gave positive feedback and said the care they received improved their wellbeing, safety, and quality of life. Relatives felt reassured and trusted the service.

The provider worked closely with people to plan care that met their needs. There was a clear focus on providing person centred care, using staff who were trained and their skills effectively. People’s needs and risks were assessed, and care plans contained details of the support required. Staff were safely recruited, trained, and supported in their roles. There were enough staff to meet people’s needs and support social activities.

People were treated with kindness and compassion, and positive relationships had developed between staff and those they supported. A member of staff told us, “Our core values underpin our work. We are willing to go above and beyond to ensure each care user gets the best care. I believe we do this consistently.”

People were involved in decisions about their care and gave consent to treatment.

Staff spoke positively about their work and the leadership of the registered manager. People, families, staff, and health professionals said the registered manager was approachable and that the service was well run. Feedback was encouraged and used to improve the service.

The service promoted learning and improvement. Staff reflected on their practice and used research to improve care. Quality checks were used to maintain high standards, and the provider worked well with other agencies to ensure care followed best practice.
