During a routine inspection

We spoke with the relatives of people using the service who were also the main carers. Most of them told us that the care workers were caring and involved people using the service in their care and support. They said that punctuality could be improved as a few members of staff were late on a number of occasions. They reported that whilst they were involved when the care plans were first drawn up, they have not always been involved in reviewing the care plans. A few relatives of people using the service think that the support given to people using the service was not that well planned and organised, as very often care workers did not know what to do to keep people occupied and engaged during the period of support.

People said that they knew who to contact if they had any concerns. Those who have recently raised concerns with the agency said that the agency did not respond to their concerns in a timely manner. People, who have raised concerns in the past, said that the agency had always responded to their concerns appropriately.
