Ear Wax Removal Bromsgrove Clinic is a small clinic owned and provided by a lone practitioner. This service does not require a registered manager. The owner is a registered nurse who provides both a clinic and mobile service providing ear irrigation and micro suction.
This is the first inspection for this service since it registered.
The service does not employ any other staff. For this report, we will refer to the provider as the practitioner.
The service had a good learning culture and people could raise concerns. People were protected and kept safe. The practitioner understood and managed risks. The facilities and equipment met the needs of people, were clean and well-maintained with any risks mitigated. There practitioner had the right skills, qualifications, and experience.
People were involved in assessments of their needs. The practitioner took account of people’s communication, personal and health needs. Care was based on latest evidence and good practice. The practitioner made sure people understood their care and treatment to enable them to give informed consent.
People were treated with exceptional kindness and compassion. The practitioner protected their privacy and dignity. They treated people as individuals and supported their preferences. People had choice in their care and treatment.
People were involved in decisions about their care. The practitioner provided information people could understand. People knew how to give feedback and were confident the service took it seriously and acted on it. The service was easy to access and worked to eliminate discrimination. People received fair and equal care and treatment.
The practitioner provided a service based on listening, learning and trust. They were knowledgeable and supportive. Policies and procedures were in place which supported an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
