Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must not, once this condition takes effect, admit any service users to Rodwell House who has a learning disability.

Within 28 days of this condition taking effect, the registered provider must ensure the audits detailed below are completed. Each audit must ensure all risks have been identified, assessed and mitigated:
(a) Undertake a review of all service users’ care plans and risk assessments;
(b) Undertake a review of all service users’ mental health and identify anyone at risk of self-harm, in particular those at ligature risk or suicidal ideation;
(c) A review of staff training, including competency checks; and
(d) How you plan to meet the needs of the existing service users with a learning disability.
Thereafter, the registered provider must send an updated report to the Commission on the first day of each month. This report must specify timescales for action to be taken and highlight who is responsible to ensure that the required improvements are made.

The registered provider must provide the Commission with an action plan demonstrating improvements to be made to the overall governance of the service to ensure there is an effective system of leadership oversight and governance implemented at Rodwell House within 28 days from the date of this notice being effective and thereafter provide updates to the Commission on the first day of each month.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 75 service users at Rodwell House.
