During an inspection looking at part of the service

People said they got the help and support that they needed from the staff. We also spoke with the relative of one person, who was very happy with the support from staff.

During a routine inspection

Some people we spoke with said they were happy with the service they received from Ladybird Care and others said they were not. One person said, "Up until now they have been very good, I can't fault them." Another person said, "I'm not terribly thrilled with them. I prefer the people I had before. The service doesn't seem to be very efficient." We spoke with two relatives of a service user and both said they were happy with the care their relation had received.

20, 27 January 2011

During a routine inspection

People spoken to said the carers are very good. They are trained and polite and courteous. They always stay their allocated time and don't leave early. Our team of carers ensures that when my regular carer is off other carers know what care and support is required. I couldn't survive at home without my carers. Spot checks are carried out by the agency to audit the care given by the carers. People spoken to knew who to contact if they needed to make a complaint.
