Responsive
Responsive – this means we looked for evidence that the provider met people’s needs.
At our last assessment we rated this key question good. At this assessment the rating has remained good. This meant people’s needs were met through good organisation and delivery.
This service scored 75 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.
Person-centred Care
The provider made sure people were at the centre of their care and treatment choices, and they decided, in partnership with people, how to respond to any relevant changes in people’s needs.
We found improvements had been made since our last inspection in October 2025.
People’s care plans were personalised and reflected their individual needs, choices and wishes. Where people were living with dementia, care plans had now been further developed and contained more detailed information about how staff could best support them, and their individual needs were well considered. This enabled staff to provide person-centred care. Information included how people preferred to be supported, the people who were important to them, and their hobbies and interests.
Care plans were reviewed regularly which helped ensure care and support reflected people's wishes, preferences and evolving needs.
Throughout our inspection we observed positive and person-centred interactions between staff and people using the service. Staff demonstrated a good understanding of the people they supported, including their personal preferences, care needs and the level of assistance required. Interactions we observed were warm and respectful.

Planning for the future
People were supported to plan for important life changes, so they could have enough time to make informed decisions about their future, including at the end of their life.
We found improvements had been made since our last inspection in October 2025. Care records demonstrated that people's future wishes were considered as part of the care planning process. People and, where appropriate, their relatives were involved in discussions about future care needs, including end-of-life care preferences.
Where anticipatory medicines were in place, care plans had been further developed, and more detailed information was recorded as to initiation and administration arrangements of these medicines and specialist contact details for staff to refer to in the event of a person’s health deteriorating. This helped to ensure important decisions were documented and understood by those responsible for providing care.
