All Inspections

During a routine inspection

We carried out a visit to the agency's office at Sahal Court and found the service had moved location. The management have told us this is being addressed as a matter of urgency. As part of this inspection we spoke by telephone with six people who used the service in their own homes. We also spoke with two relatives of people who used the service. As part of this inspection, we looked at a sample of records held in the office for people who used the service and in relation to staff supervision.

People using this service gave us very positive comments about the care and support provided by Intermediate Home Support Service. People's relatives told us they were kept involved in making decisions about their relatives care when necessary. People told us the staff always respected their need for privacy and dignity. One person told us: 'I think they are providing a great service, they have helped me regain my confidence.' Another person said: "The staff are very good. If I had anything to report I would not hesitate and do believe they would sort it out.'

Other comments made from people who used the service included:

'It's the little things that matter and the staff have been great.'

'I receive care and support that is very good; they are all very nice and helpful.'

People who used the service and relatives spoken with were confident that any concerns they had would be dealt with appropriately and rapidly.

The people we spoke with made many positive comments about the support they received from care staff. Comments used to describe the staff included: 'Very helpful and kind', 'they arrive on time', 'very helpful' and 'are always respectful.'
