We found care was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare.

One person who used the service told us; 'I'm very pleased with them, they are always on time. Always ring me if they are late. They are very helpful and compassionate, I wouldn't have them if they weren't.'

We found that medicines were safely administered and that people who used the service received their medicines in the way that had been prescribed for them. A relative of a person who used the service told us; 'They give my X medication, it is always recorded properly. With the last agency we used the medication was just left on the side. They will let me know if X hasn't taken it for some reason.'

We found that staff were clearly supported and valued by management. A member of staff said 'Since the new manager, we have had a lot of training. We have had three days of common induction standards which cover everything from safeguarding to food hygiene."

People who used the service confirmed that regular checks to monitor the quality of service were undertaken by the provider. A relative of a person who used the service said 'They do checks to make sure the girls are coming and going when they should.'

The provider had effective systems in place to record, respond and investigate any complaints made about the service.
