People we spoke with were very positive about the support they received from the provider. One person told us that: "The service has been a lifesaver for me and I have nothing but praise". The people that we spoke with told us they were in regular contact with the service for individual appointments and for group sessions.

Care planning documentation detailed the support needs of people using the service. People we met confirmed that they had been fully involved in decisions about their treatment and support. Support plans were regularly reviewed to ensure support needs were kept up to date.

There were effective safeguarding training and procedures for protecting vulnerable adults and children in place to ensure that all staff were aware of their responsibility in reporting any incidents or allegations of abuse.

Staff received appropriate training and supervision to ensure that they had the required skills to effectively support people using the service.

There were policies and procedures in place to ensure that the quality and effectiveness of the service was assessed and monitored.

People we spoke to were very positive about the support they received from the provider. One said, "The service is absolutely excellent". Another said, "The groups are amazing, I go to all of them". The three people we spoke to praised the professionalism of staff. At the time of our visit work was in progress to seek the views of people using the service.

Staff told us they enjoyed their work and had access to training opportunities. They also commented on the good support within the team. However, some staff told us the team was very stretched. One team member said, "There are definitely not enough staff". We were told about the work in progress to increase the size of the team.

Care planning documentation was well structured and detailed. It was clear that people using the service had been involved in decisions about their care. However, the documentation had not consistently been updated within the provider's timescale of three months. We were told that this was due to staff shortages and that an action plan would be put in place immediately to rectify this.

We found the provider had policies, procedures and working practices in place that enabled the quality of the service to be monitored.
