During a routine inspection

People who used the service told us that staff were respectful, and they felt safe in the home. They told us that the environment encouraged and supported friendships.

One person said, "this is a great place to live, we are all good friends here and know what each other likes or what irritates them".

People told us the staff were supportive and encouraged their independence. One person said, "the staff are good and are always there when I need help, they support me with tasks I find too difficult".

Community inclusion was promoted for people living in the home. People said they were happy with life at the home, and found they had lots of opportunities to do activities they liked in the community and in the home.

During a routine inspection

The people we spoke to said that they liked living at the home, had a variety of things to do and the staff looked after them. We saw that the staff were kind and caring, showed a good understanding of people's individual needs and preferences and supported them in making choices about what they wanted to do. The atmosphere at the home was calm, friendly and relaxed.
