During a routine inspection

We spoke with six people who used the service. People were very satisfied with the care they received. They told us 'It is very good' and 'The care is perfect'.

We found people had been involved in making decisions about their care and their choices were respected. One person told us 'I join in activities if I want to; it is totally my own choice'. People were treated with dignity and respect by staff.

There were a range of activities provided if people wanted to participate in them. One person told us 'We have had trips out, we have been to the garden centre and we went to the pub for Christmas lunch'.

We found people had care plans and risk assessments in place to ensure their care was provided safely and with dignity.

Staff had undergone safeguarding vulnerable adults training and they had access to appropriate local and national guidance.

There were sufficient staff for the home and the level of staffing was monitored and adjusted according to the needs of the people accommodated. People told us there were enough staff. They said "Staff care what they are doing, they have time for you".

There were systems in place to monitor the quality of the service provided and to enable people to provide their feedback on the service.
