During a routine inspection

Due to the nature of their medical condition many of the people who use the services in this home have difficulty in articulating their views. However, we spoke to visitors that were present on the day of our visit and used information obtained from the home's satisfaction survey of relatives. We also observed the interactions between staff and people who use the service to review the quality of care that people experienced.

We received favourable feedback about the standard of care provided. A visitor told us that they were very satisfied with the way in which care was delivered to their relative and said that 'Staff are very kind and considerate.'

People appreciated the efforts being made to provide a more homely environment that was tailored to the needs of the individual people who use the services and their families. A visitor said, 'The food is very good and there is always a choice. I am able to join my relative for a meal, which I enjoy.'
