During a routine inspection
There is some concern on the experience that people who use the service may find on first moving into the home. Comments of not understanding the needs, or staff not made aware of those needs was some experiences shared with us.
People do not always experience good hygiene standards and good infection control practises due to poor management of contaminated waste which was noted left inappropriately placed on a bedroom floor.
Family comments also tell us that on occasions and especially at weekends the staff are rushed especially when annual leave is taking place or sudden staff sickness occurs.
