Whilst some people who lived in the home were able to offer an opinion about the care they received there were many who could not and some of the information recorded about people's experiences is from direct observation during a site visit.People were enabled to make choices about how their care was delivered through their interactions with staff. Their choices were respected and recorded to ensure consistency. Staff were seen to speak to people in a kind, patient and respectful manner enabling people to make choices even where their understanding and communication was limited.
We spoke to people directly about the care they received, they told us they felt they were well cared for.

People live in a home that is comfortable and safe and free from offensive odours. Their rooms are personalised for them with their own belongings such as pictures and ornaments. During our visit one person said they were happy with the cleanliness of the home and another said the home looks nice.
We observed people being assisted at lunch time. People in the home commented positively on the food provided.
