Date of assessment 11 September to 30 September 2025. Kerwin Court provides personal and rehabilitation care. People living at the service had sustained an acquired brain injury (ABI) and required treatment for substance misuse or had other chronic health conditions.
People’s rehabilitation was supported by the environment to allow them to complete daily living skills and activities.
People received safe care, where the provider identified risks, they acted to reduce them. There were enough skilled staff to meet people's needs. Staff were kind and caring and spoke about the people they supported in a respectful way. People using the service and their relatives spoke positively about their experience regarding their rehabilitation outcomes. People’s healthcare needs were being met by the service.
Staff responded to peoples changing needs appropriately and knew how to escalate concerns. The service was responsive to people’s personal care planning and involved people in their care.
There was no registered manager in place at the time of the assessment however the recruitment process had taken place for a new registered manager.
