The practice was last rated Good (published 9 August 2018). The report was published following CQC’s old inspection approach using key lines of enquiry (KLOEs), prompts and ratings characteristics. This assessment has been completed following the Care Quality Commission (CQC) new approach to assessment; Single Assessment Framework (SAF).

We carried out an announced on-site assessment on 23 October 2024 and assessed all of the quality statements for safe, effective, responsive, caring and well-led

At the assessment we found the provider was forward thinking and proactive, striving to deliver a quality service to the registered patient population. There were effective systems in place to assess people’s needs and deliver evidence-based care and treatment. The practice took pre-emptive safety netting measures in evaluating their triage system to ensure patients were not lost to follow up.

The national GP survey showed that 73.9% of respondents described their overall experience of this GP practice as good. The majority of responses were positive about their care and treatment and marginally below the local and national averages.

The practice had an active Patient Participation Group (PPG) and reviewed feedback from the national patient survey and where possible acted on comments or suggestions made. Feedback submitted on NHS UK before and after our assessment was largely positive about people’s experiences.
