One person told us they have access to their plan of care and they knew all their records were kept in this; two other people could not remember if they had seen their plan of care.

Everyone spoken with said that they could make their own choices and decisions about what they did and how they spent their time.

One person told us that they were very well looked after and there were enough staff to help them. They said they could ask for anything and staff would do their best to oblige. They also said they got attention day and night and it was marvellous.

One person said there were enough staff to help them when needed; staff may not always be around because they were busy but they helped them in the way that they wanted.

Another person said that at times there was not always enough staff and they may have to wait a little while; however they were helped as needed.

Two people said that staff looked after their medication for them and they got these as prescribed, one person confirmed they received supplements as needed.

Three people said they thought staff were well trained and able to do their job well. One person said they trusted staff and that was the main thing that mattered to them.

One person said that they had a good relationship with staff and that they had some fun and laughter.

' They were not aware of or had been involved in the care planning process. They did however confirm that staff deliver their personal care according to their needs: One said, 'Staff are lovely'the best', another told us, 'it is brilliant and has a good atmosphere, it is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for staff, the personal care is also excellent and we are looked after well no matter what we want.'

' People confirmed that they are able to access community health professionals if they need to.

' People told us that their dietary needs are met and that there are choices at each meal time.

' People told us they feel safe living at the care home and that they can talk to staff if they need to, one person said, 'I feel safe here and I can definitely speak to staff, no matter how busy they are, they always make time, from the top to the bottom of the staff group.'

' People told us they feel that the care home is clean and fresh.

' People told us they receive their medication as prescribed and they have no concerns.

' People felt positive about the quality of care they experienced. One person told us they are treated by staff, 'beautifully'. Another said staff are, 'helpful.'

' People were generally satisfied with the staffing levels, however two people felt that there could be more staff at times.

' Two people felt that staff are competent at their job and supported them in a way that meets their needs. One told us, 'I've no problems with any staff'it's friendly here'.

' One person felt that the quality of care received was excellent.
