Date of Assessment: 01 June 2026. Manor Park Medical Practice is a GP practice and delivers a service to approximately 14,000 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The main practice is located at 573 Melton Road, Thurmaston, Leicestershire, LE4 8EA. This provider has a branch practice at 122 Parker Drive, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE4 0JF. Both sites were visited during this assessment. The National General Practice Profiles states that the practice population is 46.1% White, 39.3% Asian, 7.1% Black, 3.5% Mixed and 4.1% Other. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the 3rd decile (3 of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. Where relevant, further commentary is provided in the quality statements section of this report.
This assessment was focused on the key questions that were not reviewed during their previous assessment in August 2024. Therefore, this assessment reviewed quality statements in safe and well-led.
During their previous assessment in August 2024, this provider had a breach in regulation 17, good governance, because they had multiple patient notes that had not been summarised. We reviewed their action plan during our most recent onsite visit and found the provider had made improvements and is no longer in breach of this regulation. They assured us that all previously outstanding patient records had been summarised. Only 2 newly registered patient notes were waiting to be summarised at the time of our visit.
As part of our assessment, we reviewed feedback from people who used the service to understand their views and experience. People who left feedback via our ‘Give Feedback on Care’ process told us that they were mostly satisfied with the service provided at the practice. There was a small patient participation group that met with the provider regularly. The practice was actively trying to recruit more members to gain a better insight into patient experience.
