During a routine inspection

People using the 'Creative Support ' St Helens Service' and / or their representatives spoken with during our visit confirmed they were given appropriate information and support regarding their care and support.

We saw that staff were attentive to the needs of the people using the service and that people were supported in a caring and dignified manner.

One parent spoken with reported: 'I have no issues with the quality of care my son receives.' Likewise, another parent stated: My daughter has an excellent social life and is very happy. The care provided is very good.'

No concerns, complaints or allegations were received from the representatives of people using the service during the visit.

During a routine inspection

People spoken with confirmed that they were treated with respect and their dignity was maintained. Comments received included; 'I like the staff' and 'I have no concerns about the care I receive.'

Likewise, many of the people supported by Creative Support (St Helens Domiciliary Care Service) and a relative reported that they were involved in planning and reviewing their care and support needs.

People told us that they were generally satisfied with the standard of care provided by the agency's staff and were of the opinion that staff understood their needs. Comments received included; 'The staff are wonderful'; 'I get the help I need each day' and 'The girls [staff] look after me.'

People spoken with confirmed they received support to prepare meals and refreshments of their choice and with a range of daily living activities. People using the service also confirmed that they felt safe and had no concerns regarding the care provided. One person reported 'I am happy living here and have no worries about the staff.'
